The app

Skimrr reads the folder you point it at, on your machine. No photo, no thumbnail, no filename and no metadata is ever sent anywhere. There is no account, no analytics and no crash reporting.

The only network request the app makes is licence activation: it sends your licence key and a random identifier generated on first use. That identifier is not derived from your hardware and says nothing about your machine. It is repeated about once a month to confirm the licence is still valid.

This website

The site is static and sets no cookies. It runs no analytics and embeds no third-party trackers.

When you click the buy button, a checkout supplied by Lemon Squeezy opens. From that moment they process your name, email address, payment details and the country used to determine VAT. Their privacy policy applies to that step.

What we keep

We can see, through Lemon Squeezy, the orders placed: email address, purchase date, licence key and how many devices it is active on. We use this to support you and to honour refunds.

We do not sell or share this with anyone, and we send no marketing email unless you ask us to.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data attached to your purchase, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days.

Deleting your purchase data means we can no longer verify or restore your licence, so we will ask you to confirm before we do it.
